Banana "Pisang"

Actually banana or local term: call pisang exist in our farm long ago but I never think of it to put inside this blog. It seeem that it has less commercial value that why may be been ignored. In brunei.. there are a lot of banana species.. In local term, this banana is known as "pisang kapas". Other species available in Brunei is Pisang emas, Pisang Madu, Pisang Tanduk, Pisang sabah, Pisang Berangan, Pisang Pisang, Pisang kaling, Pisang Bunga and other type of pisang.

Long Bean "kacang panjang"

Today, I am bit bored and go down to my mom farm. I had been told by my mom worker... that they found many snake in the farm area. What kind of snake??? I also don't know because Fendi (worker) thrown the snake away. Then I saw Sodikin hold lots of long bean... but very unfortunately.. at the moment, the price of longbean at the market is quite cheap.. lower than the normal price. Quite sad... because he is very hard working worker and learn how to plant this long bean from his frind, Fendi... But better than nothing.

Dragon fruit

The day I am waiting finally come.. I am waiting for this dragon Fruit trees to bear flower and fruit... what made me dissapointed is I always miss its flower... I know the flower is white and big in shape... Who ever are interest to see the flower can see at http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/dragon_fruit.htm

Growing Environment: Dragon Fruit grows best in dry, tropical or subtropical climates where annual rainfall ranges from 20-50" per year. In wet, tropical zones, plants may grow well but sometimes have problems setting fruit reliably. The plants aren't usually too picky as to soil type, but because of their epiphytic nature, it is recommended to grow them in soil that is supplemented with high amounts of organic material. The plant has been grown successfully in sandy soils. Shade is sometimes provided in hot climates.

There are 2 colours inside as far as i know.. the greyish and the maroon bright... Personally for me, I like the red colour compare to the greyish.....
